Copyright Notice Skedaddle material is primarily obtained from public domain works originally published in the 19th century. While individual articles on this site and in our e-journal remain, by themselves, in the public domain, the site, its sub-segments and the e-journal are all compilations protected by United States and international copyright laws and treaties. In some instances, material originally written in the 19th century may be revised for space considerations. It is anticipated that this will be done primarily with material used for our e-journal. Where such material is revised, it is a new derivative work of public domain material and, as such, is NOT in the public domain. While our intent is to identify such revisions in order to minimize copyright infringement issues, we do not guarantee that a notice will be provided in all instances. Photos and other images - Visitors to our site may freely use any image on our Skedaddle site, unless otherwise stated. However, collection or harvesting of large numbers of images is not authorized and may infringe on our copyright. In most instances, the images have been cropped or edited to enhance them. Where this has been done, the resultant image may be a new derivative work of public domain material and, as such, NOT in the public domain. Regardless of individual image copyright status, the images are a part of a compilation protected by United States and international copyright laws and treaties.
